THE CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE...(and a new job!)

Okay so I know it's been awhile since my last entry and yes, most of it
was due to complete laziness on my part to get something out to you. But
I'm back on track now and have actually been a little bit busy these days.
I have booked a part in the new M. Night Shyamalan movie
"Lady in the
Water" so I just came back from a week in Philadelphia where I had a
table read, met the cast (very, very cool people), and rehearsed a little
bit.  I'll be going back and forth these next couple months to start filming
and from what I've read...it's going to be a pretty cool film! On the down
days there when I wasn't doing something I went exploring a little in Philly.
What a cool town! So much history and life, I went to this place called the
"Terminal Market" and it reminds me of a big open air market (but indoors)
and I made it a point to go by the booths run by the Amish. They have all
kinds of handmade items from food to quilts, dolls, books you name it. I
included some pics (when I get some more of the cast I'll put them up in a
future post) It's funny but I had pretty much given up on thinking I had
been cast in this movie because I waited almost a month to hear back. I
can't even begin to explain how happy I was when I heard from my Agent.
In the meantime I had been going out on other auditions and I found out
that I also booked a part in another movie (this one for Universal) called
"Accepted". It's a small part where I play a manager in a shoe store
pretty much yelling at one of my employees. (I can draw from sense
memory for this one...I was once yelled at while working at a shoe store,
not pretty)
So I'm guessing for the people who say that summer is "dead" auditioning
wise...they're thinking twice about leaving next year. It's been great this
year auditioning. I've read that there are at least 33 shows auditioning
right now (not to mention films) so it feels like the reality bus is pulling out
of the station and going back to wherever it came from.
