A WONDERFUL NIGHT FOR THE BOWL...
So on Friday the 8th me and a couple friends went to the Hollywood Bowl
to see Sondheim's 75th celebration and it was KICKASS!! Fun. There
were actually a CAVALCADE OF STARS! (my new fave sentence for
"ALOT of stars"). We saw Bernadette Peters, Carol Burnett, Eric Mc
Cormick, Anne Hathaway (princess diaries...case you didn't know) Jason
Alexander to name a few. But then at the end of the night they really
let loose and we then saw Angela Lansbury, Warren Beatty, Barbra
Streisand, and the man of the hour Stephen Sondheim himself! I was
waiting for God for appear but I guess he had other engagements. it was
a great night and before the show we had ourselves a little dinner party
at my pad...pretending we were actually adults that have dinner parties.
I really need to go out more and survey the california scene. Being at the
bowl I feel like I'm really taking advantage of the fact that I live here.
Sometimes I forget that there are a TON of great places to go and that
are CHEAP!!....some of my next adventures during this summer are going
to have to include the L.a. Zoo, the Griffith Observatory, and a couple
more trips back to the bowl to name a few. I have the bowl covered
(bought tickets to 2 other shows...side note you need to buy bowl tickets
early or else they do sell out!) anyhoo just feeling since I have time to do
it, why not? also went to see DARK WATER last night with my friend
Jeanine. I'm gonna tell you all right now, don't go expecting to see a
scary movie...cuz it's not. It's pretty much along the lines (scare wise)
as THE VILLAGE. The thing I think (and jeanine thinks) saves the movie
are the good actors in it. John c. riley I swear can save ANYTHING! he
was good. But all in all save DARK WATER for a rental...it's more than
likely a very good rental. xoxo --- Carla
