Words I've learned in my life (courtesy of being the "youngest") "give
me","that's mine", "I want it now!". Words I need to work on... "that's
okay we'll share", "I can wait til tommorrow", " hold your horses". I feel
like if things don't come to me RIGHT AT THAT SECOND, then it's not
meant to happen and I need to understand that being in this business (that
of being an actress) I can't stress when a callback will happen or if I get
the part, all I can do is audition (as a wise man once told me "Your only job
is to audition that's your job...if you get the part there's the bonus") and
let it go. I'm talking about this because I had an audition for something
back on June 7th and I auditioned and I was told how "right" I was for the
part, but then I never heard back from them. Rather than just say to
myself "hold your horses, you did a good job let that one go and move on" I
got a little bitter thinking "oh people just say anything they want and they
don't mean it". (I have alot of issues!) anyhoo just 2 days ago I get a call
that they want me to come to a callback for the executive producer,
producer, and writer of the film. After that phone call I felt stupid, I
have to stop writing things off as failure and keep the faith that if it's
meant to be it will be and if not...well you've been given feedback that
your still in the right business and just keep plugging along it will happen. By
the way, The callback (I went to it this morning) went very, very well. I
don't want to say the name of the movie (I might jinx it...yeah I'm
allowed to at least be a little superstitious) but I know I went in there and
did my absolute best...there was no more I could've done so if I don't get
the part, well then I say to myself "self!, you went to a callback which
meant your still doing a good job"
