Well I truly believe that last Friday Satan himself came by to give me a
kiss and ask me how it's going. I swear it has been soon hot lately, it
sucks to go outside and outside is pretty much where I was all last week.
I was lucky enough to have auditions lined up everyday during the week
ending in 1 more audition and THREE callbacks all on Friday. Now don't
get me wrong I loved every minute of those auditions...it was great finally
getting out and feeling like I'm accomplishing something. But I swear the
heat was ready to bring someone down...mainly me. Well the auditions
went great and I had a blast. Two were for TV shows and since it's
Tuesday, well guess I didn't book those. The 3rd was a callback for a
movie but I probably won't know anything for a little while (films are
funny like that, you can write them off and then months later find out you
got a callback or even got it so I'm waiting) I do have some good news
about something else but I'm gonna hold off just a little bit longer because
I'm just silly and superstitious that way...believe me when I'm able to
tell you...I will. I do have a good story about something that happened at
one of my auditions though. It's a good story about how NOT to be a
stage mother or just plain rude in general.(email me or when I see you ask
me, I'll tell ya!) Okay...so I'll take off my rose colored glasses for a
minute and own up to the fact that I'm in Hollywood and people aren't
always known for being the friendliest. But I truly believe there's room
for respect and treating people like you want to be treated. I've been
lucky enough in my short span of this career to have met some people you
could easily call "legends, movie stars, talented actors and actresses".
What they all had in common was their sense of who they were. Talent,
respect, and not being a jerk got them to where they are now and I
swear that I am going to do WHATEVER it takes to remember that. I'm
voting for "NOT BECOMING A JERK IN HOLLYWOOD!"
OKAY I have to go now...I have to get back to "hugging that tree" but
first let me put my rose colored glasses back on...ahhh that's better!
