MY HORROR WATCHING THE AMITYVILLE HORROR!

So having been side tracked with the hellish shoot I went THRU last week
I forgot to talk about having seen AMITYVILLE when it came out so here
goes...
Well as usual I called my good "scary movie seeing buddy" Jeanine and we
decided last weds night to go see AMITYVILLE. Because her friend was
also going to be joining us this time we waited until 10pm to see it (we
were meeting her friend after he got off work). All was happy and fun as
we got our popcorn and soda and headed into the theatre thinking this will
probably be like all the other horror films that have come out
lately...entertaining but not THAT scary. Well....WE WERE WRONG! I
practically watched most of the movie THRU my fingers (when they
weren't in my ears to avoid the scary noises) I really, REALLY, dug this
version of AMITYVILLE. There were so many scares and this time around
they went deeper into the backstory which made it all the more scary,
not to mention that this time around you actually see and find out who
"Jodi" is (if you watched the first one you'll know what I'm talking about)
the entire movie my friend Jeanine and I kept screaming and Jeanine kept
saying "man, they just keep throwing the scares at you...there's no time
to recoup!" I've seen the first AMITYVILLE horror and it was pretty good
and scary. The only problem for me with the first one was by the end you
weren't really scared anymore...they went off on a weird tangent, but
here! It's scary ALL the way to the rolling credits and something a bit
freaky happens at the end that I missed and GLAD I DID because I kept
my eyes closed. I heard everyone one in the theatre give a long last
scream and then the credits stared rolling. I asked my friend Jeanine
what happened in the very last shot and she says to me "you didn't see
it!" "I hate you...I'm gonna have nightmares" I said that's the reason
why I closed my eyes at the last second. It didn't help though, I still
came home and couldn't sleep.
Now I know there are people out there who want to know WHY I would go
to a movie that I pretty much just watched half of (and listened to half
with closed eyes) and I can't explain it...it's alot of fun to be "pretend
scared" for a little while...believe me, your not gonna be thinking  "when
is rent due?" when you got a ghostie on screen flying at ya! ----Carla

p.s. House of Wax is coming out this week...I will give a full report on
the movie and "acting talents" of Paris Hilton (the simple fact that
someone shuts her up by pouring wax on her is good enough for me!)
Nuff Said...
