Welp it's a pretty uneventful January. I can't believe it's 2006 now, this
is crazy, time just runs past you the older you get. I didn't have a wild
new years...actually I just ended up going to a small party and rang in the
new year with some friends and a now VERY SLOWED down Dick Clark.
It's been pretty quiet around these parts now that every things settled
down. I'm kinda excited because The Shield will be showing it's season
premiere tonight at 10pm on Fx!! (and my first acting role where I
actually say more than 2 lines...I mean this is an honest to goodness
ROLE!!) anyhoo, as excited as I am to see it I'm more nervous to see how
it turned out. Every actor is their own worst critic and I'm no exception.
I will probably be fidgety and nervous all during the show watching it thru
clenched teeth and more than likely telling myself "oooh you could've done
that WAY better!" but I wouldn't trade it for the WORLD!! I also
had time to go see the movie "HOSTEL". It was actually a pretty
entertaining movie. I tell you now it's NOT as bad as all the stupid ads
make it out to be (if you lived thru SAW or SAW2 you'll live thru this..)
I put it this way: "it's gory, but not scary" and I liked the storyline. I
rate it a "GOOD RENTAL" I've also seen "MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA" and
liked it. I am one those who read the book and still feel the movie was
well done. But I do recommend that you read the book, even if you've
seen the movie. The book is so detailed in the traditions of the geisha and
that's one thing you just don't get in the movie.
As you can see from my picture (top right) I got to do a "gift show" for
my chocolates that went really well and I'm guessing that I need to get it
in gear if I wanna sell some chocolates for Valentines. I might actually
start selling at the Farmer's Market down the street from my house.
It's a really good side business and since I have the time right now...why
