NACHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....PREMIERE!!

Wow Last Night was like a BIG blur of CRAZY! I went to the world
premiere of Nacho Libre at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre here in
Hollywood and it was my first red carpet event. I play the part of
"Candidia" (the daughter of "Senor Ramon" in the movie) and I was super
pysched to see how it turned out. I took my sister Monica with me for
moral support and I had actually hired a publicist to walk me down the red
carpet and help me with interviews and photos and I could not have been
HAPPIER to have her there with me. My publicist Lynn had me start at
one end of the carpet and then I would wait while she'd tell a group of
photographers who I was in the film, and my name. Then I would see
twenty cameras at one time start flashing bulbs at me and yelling
"CARLA", "CARLA LOOK OVER HERE!" and it's overwhelming. You're
standing there trying to smile for everyone and the second you relax your
face someone is yelling "big smile" so that was cool and I did that for
about 3 different sets of photographers. Then I started doing interviews
with like E! , Extra, Abc...etc down to like Hispanic channels and other
independent stations. It was fun and I don't remember HALF of what I
said to them..but at the same time, everytime I finish an interview my
sister Monica is asking me "what did you say?" (LIKE I'D REMEMBER!!).
Jack was there and as you can see by the pictures he was SUPER COOL
as always and gave me a big hug and told me I did great in the movie. I
so got to meet Shondrella Avery who was "Lafawnduh" in Napoleon
Dynamite (one of my all time FAVORITE MOVIES!!) and she was sooooo
nice!! She told me that in Napoleon Dynamite at the end of the film (when
she gets married to "kip") that the people playing her family REALLY
WERE her family. She also gave me a big hug and congratulated me on
being in the film. The movie itself was so much fun and I am so grateful
to be in it. The after party was held at a club called "The Highlands"
(it's this really nice club on Hollywood & Highland that they usually use for
premieres and big party events) at the after party I met up with my
other fellow actors from the movie, Hector Jimenez (who plays Esqueleto)
he is SUCH a doll and good person. I also saw Ana De la Reguera (who's
Encarnation) in the movie. She's also a very sweet person. I think what
also made the night very cool was that my good friend Crissy & her
husband Dave came. They actually put me at ease on the red carpet
(because they have been thru it like a GA ZILLION times!!) so to have
their energy there was great! Next up...LADY IN THE WATER!...Over all
the evening was everything I expected and MORE. There was a very cool
RED CARPET!, TONS OF CAMERAS, A VERY FUNNY MOVIE !! (THAT
OPENS THIS FRIDAY!!), A KICKIN AFTER PARTY, AND me...very much
a newcomer to this...but hopefully I'll get to stay at the party a little
longer!
