THE DEAD-TIRED GIRL...

I'm very tired right now but I can't rest because I'm actually headed out
to see my good friend Danny's show ZORBA, but I thought I'd tell you of
my day. SO when days I work include the sentence..."So I'm sitting with
Marcia Gay Harden and we're talking about acting..." I LOVE MY LIFE!! I
filmed my scene today for the movie THE DEAD GIRL and my scene was
with Marcia Gay Harden and Kerry Washington. I arrived to the set
about 6:30am but let me tell you... I can't get over how AMAZING
EVERYONE WAS!! I have never felt so secure on a set before (and this
even tops I think M. Night...sorry Night you were very cool but this set
was TOPS!) The entire make-up, costume, just film crew in general were
super nice. The Director Karen Moncrieff, was so understanding and
patient and just never once made me feel excluded. Kerry Washington
(who's a great actress and has been in such movies as Ray, Fantastic
Four, Save the Last dance...to name a few) was an absolute DOLL. She
was so positive and telling me what a good job I was doing (believe me,
it's hard to feel confident with such amazing actors around and wearing
what I was wearing...believe me it was pretty scary...see the movie it'll
change your life!) and then there's Marcia Gay Harden, who I truly
admire. She's been in "Mystic River", "Pollack", "American Dreamz" (to
name a few of hers!) I was soooo hoping that she would be as nice as I
thought...and she was! There's alot of people I really admire and I can
never tell them what I think, But I had seen her on Oprah with Ellen
Burstyn just about a week and a half ago and what they had to say on the
topic of acting and just living your life really made me so excited to meet
her. I told her I was a big admirer of her work and that I had seen her
on Oprah and she was just great. I also asked her later that day about
her acting technique (whether she went to college and what she did as she
plays a role) and it was very cool to get her opinion on what she did to get
prepared. When I wrapped for the day I said goodbye to everyone and
Marcia shook my hand and said I had done well and she only wishes great
things for me. It meant alot coming from her. All day I was watching her
interacting with others and just from time to time she'd look at me and
smile and make me feel comfortable. I think it would be amazing to meet
her later in my career if I'm more successful, because it's people like her
and Kerry, and the Director Karen that make you strive to be a better
person and help others along the way

                      Peace and movie makin'
